About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver for a high-level case in Bloomfield Hills. This position involves providing care on Thursday and Sunday nights, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The role requires consistency and reliability in providing care for clients with high-level needs, including Hoyer lift and PEG tube assistance.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Physically able to lift 25 lbs., bend, kneel, and walk throughout shift
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and registration
- Reliable mobile phone for scheduling and communication
- Must pass a background check
- Current TB test (can be completed after interview)
Nice To Haves
- Hoyer lift experience
- PEG tube care experience
- Wheelchair assistance experience
Responsibilities
- Companionship and emotional support
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Dementia/Alzheimer’s care
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene
- Safe transfers using gait belts and Hoyer lifts (training provided)
- Transportation to outings, errands, and appointments
- Promoting safety, dignity, and comfort at all times
