About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to participate in the basic nursing care of the OB, postpartum and nursery patient from admission through discharge and to perform non-nursing functions. Non-nursing duties will include but not be limited to performing CNA duties, keeping rooms clean and stocked, clerical duties as assigned, answering phones and relaying messages appropriately. This position is responsible to the nurses, Charge Nurse, and nurse manager.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Current Active Certified Nursing Assistant - State of GA
• BLS - must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the basic nursing care of the OB, postpartum and nursery patient from admission through discharge.
• Perform non-nursing functions including CNA duties.
• Keep rooms clean and stocked.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Answer phones and relay messages appropriately.
