The Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant is a key individual responsible for monitoring and reporting changes in the individuals’ condition to the LPN, assisting the LPN in maintaining accurate patient records, monitoring vital signs, helping the LPN with tasks, and offer support for people so they can live where they wish in the community, live a quality life and be as independent as possible. The CNA or CMA is responsible for assisting the LPN in ensuring the health and wellbeing of the individuals that Bell Socialization Services serve within the Residential Department. This includes but is not limited to helping the LPN review medical paperwork, monitoring all individuals at least monthly, and attending appointments and meetings as needed. In addition, the CNA or CMA, will assist the LPN in conjunction with other management staff, ensuring that all Residential Group homes maintain consistent compliance with all applicable state regulations set forth by the Office of Developmental Programs. Because of the nature of this Agency, it is essential that the CNA or CMA believe in the philosophy of the Agency as well as support the procedures that are viable and essential to the individuals’ health needs.
