About The Position

This position involves direct patient care, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility. It also includes monitoring vital signs, documenting care, and communicating patient condition changes to nursing staff. CNAs work under the supervision of nurses, providing compassionate care and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Additionally, the role involves administrative tasks such as processing admission, discharge, and shift audit documents, and answering unit phone calls.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
State of Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant License
BLS certification
Ability to support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
Ability to participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position.

Nice To Haves

1 year of previous experience Certified Nursing Assisting experience.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.
Convey empathy and compassion to both patients and coworkers.
Report to primary nurse or shift charge nurse any changes in patient condition.
Relate to others in a manner that creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation.
Communicate effectively and therapeutically with patients and their friends, family, and caregivers.
Provide a CNA level scope of care based on Oregon State Board of Nursing, age specific, cultural, physical and psychosocial well-being.
Assist in duties as assigned by the Shift Charge such as processing admission, discharge, and shift audit documents.
Answering the phone calls to the unit.
Support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
