About The Position

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility, while promoting comfort, dignity, and safety. Obtain and document vital signs, accurately record patient care, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the licensed nursing staff. Maintain a safe, clean environment and support quality patient care while working under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and other licensed healthcare professionals. As a Float Pool CNA/Ward Clerk, adapt quickly to varying patient populations and clinical environments by providing coverage across multiple hospital departments based on staffing and patient care needs. Float assignments may include, but are not limited to, Medical-Surgical, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), Family Birth Center, Treatment Center, and Surgical Services. Perform established responsibilities as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Ward Clerk, and/or Patient Sitter as assigned, demonstrating flexibility, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to deliver high-quality care in fast-paced and diverse healthcare settings. Success in this role requires an individual who is dependable and proactive, who serves as a positive ambassador between departments, and who is skilled at building, nurturing, and strengthening communication and relationships across multiple areas of the hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
State of Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant License
BLS

1 year of previous experience Certified Nursing Assisting experience.

Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position (reference program education curriculum).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
