About The Position

The Transportation Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Treviso plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients within and outside the facility. This position requires a compassionate and attentive professional who supports patient mobility while maintaining high standards of care and safety. The CNA will collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to facilitate timely and comfortable patient transfers to various departments, appointments, or external medical facilities. By providing direct assistance during transportation, the CNA helps enhance patient experience and contributes to the overall quality of care. Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license if transportation duties include driving facility vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely assist patients with mobility and transfers.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety standards within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Good Driving Record
  • The Transportation CNA utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare staff.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent accidents and ensure patient well-being during transfers.
  • Physical stamina and proficiency in patient handling techniques enable the CNA to assist patients with varying mobility levels safely.
  • Organizational skills help manage transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient patient movement throughout the facility.
  • Problem-solving abilities are important to address any unexpected challenges during transport while maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a rehabilitation or nursing center setting.
  • Additional training or certification in patient handling and transfer techniques.
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures and first aid.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients to and from different areas within the facility, including therapy, diagnostic, and treatment departments.
  • Assist patients with mobility challenges during transfers, ensuring comfort and preventing injury.
  • Coordinate with nursing and medical staff to schedule and prioritize patient transportation needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and lifts.
  • Document transportation activities accurately and report any incidents or patient concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality guidelines during all transportation activities.
  • Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients during transport, addressing any immediate needs or discomfort.
