About The Position
Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley has tripled its capacity to 171 beds following a major expansion, equipped with advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment. The hospital is a Level III Trauma center, STEMI Cardiac receiving center, and certified stroke treatment center, recognized with the Women's Choice Award for America's 100 Best Hospitals Emergency Care. The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN. The hospital values its CNAs and offers a career path framework for advancement into nursing and other roles, aiming to help them practice at the top of their license.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- High School diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
- State registered CNA license required
- Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Nice To Haves
- Six months previous CNA experience
- Previous customer service experience
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.
