About The Position
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, following established policies and procedures. The role supports the hospital’s patient-centered mission through vital patient care tasks, support for nursing staff, and collaboration within a healthcare team. Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley has 171 beds following a major expansion and serves the community with advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
- State-registered CNA license.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of previous CNA or healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and assistance with nutritional and elimination needs.
- Promptly answer call lights and respond to patient needs.
- Report patient status changes and needs accurately and promptly to the Registered Nurse.
- Document vital signs, intake and output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other care performed; promptly report findings to the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain thorough and confidential patient charts and records.
- Assist with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a nurse.
- Provide person-centered care with sensitivity and respect in collaboration with other team members.
- Communicate concerns about patient-related hazards or errors to the healthcare team.
