Under the clinical and administrative supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative oversight of CNA staff and supporting appropriate staffing and coverage for all shifts at the facility. The CNA Supervisor will assist with coordinating CNA assignments and may provide direction, guidance, and training to CNA staff in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the scope of their role. As part of the MLK Interim Housing Program team, the CNA Supervisor may provide direct support to clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), as appropriate and within the CNA’s scope of practice. Such support may include assistance with eating, dressing, bathing, mobility, and navigating the facility or community. The CNA Supervisor may also assist with routine health-status monitoring and report observations or concerns to the appropriate clinical staff in accordance with established protocols. The CNA Supervisor works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, CNA staff, and other members of the client care team to support safe, respectful, and client-centered services. The program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; the CNA Supervisor’s assigned schedule and responsibilities will be determined based on program needs and organizational staffing requirements.
