About The Position
Jerome Home is a progressive Senior Living campus with stable, highly competent, and caring staff. It includes a 94-bed Skilled Nursing and Sub-acute unit, and 26 Independent Residential Care Apartments. The campus is beautiful and CMS 5-star rated, with good staffing ratios and generous nursing support staff. Jerome Home was awarded the 2022 Non-profit Business of the Year by the Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce. They focus on working together to find solutions and solve problems, with an emphasis on Person Centered Care and de-centralized dining. They utilize several online programs for EMR (Matrix), scheduling (Inovalon), education (Relias), and human resources/payroll (Paycom).
Requirements
- Be a Certified Nurse Aide and registered in accordance with laws of this state.
- Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Request time off or pick up shifts through the online scheduling program.
- Complete assigned online education classes at your own pace.
- Relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
