About The Position

This is a PRN (as needed) opportunity for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) at Brendan House, a skilled nursing facility. The role involves assisting in the delivery of basic resident care under the guidance of leadership. Responsibilities include supporting residents with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, documenting care, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. The CNA will also communicate with nursing leadership and team members regarding resident care, report changes in condition, and assist with supply management and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Current Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate.
  • Current CPR certification as applicable to assigned area.
  • Must possess an understanding of confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to HIPAA guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Home Health Aide certification preferred or must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire, if applicable to assigned area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a team-focused environment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn other software systems as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of basic resident care under the guidance and direction of assigned leadership.
  • Support residents with activities of daily living.
  • Obtain and report vital signs.
  • Document care accurately.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
  • Communicate with nursing leadership and appropriate team members to coordinate resident care priorities.
  • Report changes in resident condition.
  • Support daily department operations.
  • Assist with restocking supplies.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety.
  • Support compliance with Medicare and applicable regulatory standards.
