CNA Restorative - PRN
About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. The position offers full restorative training onsite, with no prior restorative experience necessary, though a CNA certification is required. Responsibilities include assisting in the restorative care of patients with tasks such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care. The role focuses on restorative responsibilities, minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. Aegis Therapies emphasizes a holistic approach to wellness through its EnerG by Aegis programs, focusing on the seven dimensions of wellness.
Requirements
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
- CNA Certification Required
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
- Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care.
