About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working with the therapy team to provide expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs, with a focus on restorative patient care. The position offers comprehensive restorative training and emphasizes exclusive restorative responsibilities, minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. The EnerG by Aegis program focuses on a holistic approach to wellness across seven dimensions. Restorative Care is crucial in skilled nursing facilities, and Aegis Therapies utilizes a patient-centered approach to make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
