About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. The position offers full restorative training onsite, with no prior restorative experience required. Responsibilities include assisting in restorative care such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care. The role focuses on these specific restorative tasks, minimizing less desirable CNA duties. The EnerG by Aegis program emphasizes a holistic approach to wellness across seven dimensions, enhancing health and happiness through individualized, results-driven programs.

Requirements

CNA Certification Required
High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Nice To Haves

Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
