About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a CNA Restorative / Rehab Tech to join their supportive team. This role works with the Rehab Therapy Team in a Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Senior Care Wellness setting. The position offers up to 40 hours per week with weekend rotation and a pay rate of up to $17.50 per hour. The company provides full restorative training onsite, and no prior restorative experience is necessary, though a CNA certification is required. This role focuses on restorative care responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, range of motion, and dressing/grooming, with limited less desirable CNA tasks.

Requirements

  • Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
  • Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
  • Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
  • Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
  • Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
  • Assist in patient treatment or set-up, as appropriate, under supervision of licensed therapist and only as determined by state practice acts, federal regulation or payor.
  • May provide non-skilled service delivery pre or post therapy intervention in accordance with state and federal regulations to support patient progress.
  • Participate in treatment location in-service training programs.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and department.
  • Assist with administrative and scheduling tasks.
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to treatment location infection control policies and protocols and keeping information confidential per company and federal requirements.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with treatment location and department procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by complying with company procedures and following manufacturer’s instructions.
