About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a CNA Restorative - Rehab Tech to join their supportive team. This full-time position involves working with the Rehab Therapy Team in a Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Senior Care Wellness setting. The role focuses on providing knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs, with full restorative training provided onsite. The CNA/Wellness Instructor will assist in the restorative care of patients, focusing on specific restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, with limited "less desirable" CNA tasks. The Rehab Tech will also assist in patient treatment setup under the supervision of a licensed therapist, provide non-skilled service delivery, participate in training, assist with cleaning and maintenance, manage supplies, and ensure patient and employee safety through infection control and confidentiality protocols.

Requirements

  • Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
  • Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
  • Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
  • Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities including Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care.
  • Assist in patient treatment or set-up, as appropriate, under supervision of licensed therapist and only as determined by state practice acts, federal regulation or payor.
  • Provide non skilled service delivery pre or post therapy intervention in accordance with state and federal regulations to support patient progress.
  • Participate in treatment location in-service training programs.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and department.
  • Assist with administrative and scheduling tasks.
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to treatment location infection control policies and protocols and keeping information confidential per company and federal requirements.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with treatment location and department procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by complying with company procedures and following manufacturer’s instructions.
