About The Position

The Nursing Assistant functions within his/her scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. S/he demonstrates an understanding of basic nursing skills and skills unique to the assigned clinical unit(s). Following orientation, s/he assumes delegated responsibility which may include (but not be limited to) such tasks as: meeting the hygienic, nutritional, elimination, activity, comfort and safety needs of patients; obtains and reports vital signs (TPR and BP); performs urine reductions, transports (transfers, discharges) patients; obtains supplies/equipment as necessary from designated departments. Requirements

  • Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Meeting the hygienic, nutritional, elimination, activity, comfort and safety needs of patients
  • Obtains and reports vital signs (TPR and BP)
  • Performs urine reductions
  • Transports (transfers, discharges) patients
  • Obtains supplies/equipment as necessary from designated departments
