About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring CNA/RCA's at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd. This is a career that loves you back. We are looking for individuals with weekend availability for part-time positions in Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. We also have As Needed positions available for all shifts. The Resident Care Associate shall provide for the needs of the elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support in a manner that supports the dignity, independence, choice, and individuality of each resident. The duties include delivery of services as written on the approved service plan for each Resident.

Requirements

  • Must have completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation.
  • CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed.
  • Current license/certification as required by State Regulation.
  • Ability to use computer for documenting services provided.
  • Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training.
  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Complete community and State orientation training programs.
  • Assist residents with medications according to State Regulation and LCB Policies, making required record entries and notifications.
  • Actively engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiences, providing assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions for activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility).
  • Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status, and report/document any noticed changes to the RN or designee.
  • Assist Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.
  • Assist Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.
  • Assist Residents with keeping their units neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to Residents' needs promptly.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs and specialized staff training programs as required.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement as needed or directed.
  • Document scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, and residents' refusal of services. Input information into the community computer tracking system.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection.
