About The Position
This part-time CNA position involves working every other weekend, specifically from 2p-10:30p on Saturdays and Sundays. Certified nursing assistants are responsible for providing personal care and assistance to residents as directed by the nursing staff. This includes assisting residents with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, feeding, toileting, and bathing. CNAs also play a crucial role in observing and reporting any changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must read, write and comprehend English language
- Satisfactory completion of the 75 hour nursing assistant course required
- Certified nursing assistant certificate required
- Valid and current on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals
- Background check, physical, drug screen and TB test required
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and assistance for residents as directed by the unit charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or designee.
- Helping residents with dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, feeding, going to the bathroom and baths/showers.
- Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse.
