About The Position

At Spring Arbor Senior Living of Fredericksburg, VA, we are seeking compassionate and energetic Personal Care Assistants (PCA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to support our Assisted Living residents. This role offers a chance to brighten someone's day and make a lasting difference in a supportive community with tenured leadership and long-standing team members. Our stand-alone memory care setting allows for deeper connections and focused, meaningful care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year related health care experience required.
  • Must successfully complete required dementia training (in any Community with an Ensemble Program).
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state.
  • May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) depending on the state requirements, if licensed or certified must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident care services as scheduled, under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Memory Care or/and Ensemble areas.
  • Maintain a positive physical and social environment for residents.
  • Approach all encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, medicinal reminders, and incontinence care.
  • Keep proper records of care, including a resident service plan and documenting services provided.
  • Be familiar with the resident service plan and document all services provided.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care and services.
  • Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
  • Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.
