Requirements
- Must be able to fulfill all requested days of care (Thurs-Sat 9am-4pm).
- CPR certified or willing to obtain certification prior to starting.
- Up-to-date TB test or willing to acquire one before beginning work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexible schedule availability.
- Ability to manage and organize clients' routines effectively.
- Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation and running errands.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in home care is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Providing immobile, recovering, or frail clients with support, company, and comfort.
- Reporting changes in the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients to relevant parties.
- Providing support with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
- Engaging clients in suitable activities, such as playing games, taking walks, or having conversations.
- Performing basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and preparing meals.
- Assisting clients with household finances, bills, and payments, as well as running errands.
- Accompanying clients on outings and arranging transportation to medical appointments.
- Providing mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
- Maintaining a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.
- Ensure that transfers are done safely, with proper technique, to avoid injury to both the client and the caregiver.
- Respect the client's dignity during personal care activities, including bathing and brief changes.
- Keep an open line of communication with the client to understand their comfort level and any changes in their needs.
