About The Position

Spring Arbor Cottages of Salisbury is hiring compassionate caregivers to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care team. This PRN / Flexible Scheduling role in Midlothian, VA, allows you to pick up shifts that work with your schedule while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. As a Resident Assistant / Caregiver, you will provide hands-on support and companionship to residents, assisting with daily living activities, mobility, and ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Dependable, compassionate and team-oriented
• Must meet applicable background and company employment requirements

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification preferred but not required
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Dementia training required for Memory Care associates
• Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Care or healthcare experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Help with mobility, transfers and positioning
• Provide toileting and incontinence care
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide medication reminders as permitted
• Communicate resident needs and changes with the care team
• Support residents with activities and engagement
• Help maintain a safe, comfortable and positive environment
