About The Position
Harborview Medical Center - Emergency Department has an outstanding job opportunity for a CNA / Patient Care Technician position. This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience as ED Tech or CNA in an Inpatient Hospital Acute Care or ICU settings
- High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
- Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State
- Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Responsibilities
- Assist the medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care
- Transportation of patients, supplies, and specimens
- Ordering and stocking of supplies
- Maintain / set up of special equipment
- Participate in unit and selected departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication
