About The Position
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe, basic care to patients. Care includes taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting specimens, and observing patients for physical or emotional changes. The role also records pertinent information in patient charts and communicates with other Patient Care Team members to support continuity of care. The technician may provide constant patient supervision as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. This is an hourly position with expected pay of $18.98–$22.34 per hour. Actual pay is determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. Shift differentials are $1.75 per hour for second shift and $1.75 per hour for weekends. The position is eligible for a $600 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Applicants must be at least 18 to be eligible for the bonus; candidates under 18 may still be considered for the position.
Requirements
- CNA—Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
- Six months of experience supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
