About The Position
The Nursing Assistant / Attendant / Orderly is responsible for administering direct resident care and performing other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal care. The Nursing Assistant / Attendant / Orderly works under the direction of a professional licensed nurse.
Requirements
- Graduate of Accredited High School or GED Program
- Completion of a nursing attendant training program or equivalent
- Must be trained in CPR
- Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions
- Ability to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately
- Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case-by-case basis
- High expected exposure to blood borne pathogens
