About The Position

Serious Medicine is what we do. Being extraordinary is who we are. Every colleague plays a key role in upholding this promise to our patients and their families. We do outpatient surgical procedures, with some patients requiring overnight stay (next day discharge). We have 40 pre-op/post-op bays that support 10 operating rooms and do a wide variety of surgical procedures. It is a very fast-paced environment; we focus on patient safety, patient experience and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.
