This is a part-time CNA/Nursing Assistant position within the Gastrointestinal Services department. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including personal hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and documentation. The position requires accurate measurement and recording of vital signs and patient data, performing purposeful rounding, and participating in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. The CNA will also be responsible for specimen collection, maintaining nursing supplies, cleaning equipment, and performing patient positioning and transporting duties. Additional tasks may include assisting with nutritional needs, skin integrity, and providing post-mortem care or bladder scans under RN direction. Adherence to infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and aseptic procedures, is crucial. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
