CNA / Nursing Assistant - Preop/PACU (Nights)
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CNA / Nursing Assistant to join our Preop/PACU team. This role provides direct patient care and support in the Preop and PACU setting. Responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, patient preparation and recovery assistance, transport, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient care environment under the direction of a registered nurse. The position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, with 36 scheduled weekly hours on the night shift from 9 PM to 9 AM. Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age required (for CNA role).
- Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska required (for CNA role).
- Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program.
- Minimum of 18 years of age required (for Nursing Assistant role).
- High school education or equivalent required (for Nursing Assistant role).
- Six months experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program (for Nursing Assistant role).
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Direct patient care experience preferred (for Nursing Assistant role).
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient's plan of care.
