CNA/Nursing Assistant - Preop/PACU

About The Position
Join the experienced Preop/PACU team to care for a diverse surgical patient population in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to support achievement of the patient’s plan of care. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with rotating shifts scheduled from 9:00–19:30 or 12:00–22:30.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA)-endorsed program; this requirement applies to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.
- Depending on department needs, Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course may be required after hire in outpatient settings.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
