About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a CNA/Nursing Assistant to join their nursing team. This position is on the Telemetry floor, serving patients aged 16 years to 100+ years with primarily cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke conditions, or rapid responses from other hospital departments. The department operates as a progressive care unit rather than a 'med-surg' unit and serves approximately 650 patients monthly. A typical colleague schedule involves three 12-hour shifts, working in a fast-paced environment that offers opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).

Nice To Haves

Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination duties to support clinical staff at the unit level.
Perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary for the personal needs and comfort of patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
