About The Position

Bellevue Medical Center, part of Nebraska Medicine, is an 80-bed community hospital located in Bellevue, Nebraska. As a private, not-for-profit healthcare organization affiliated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, we provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Our Operating Room currently consists of six surgical suites and will expand to eight suites in fall/winter 2026. The surgical team provides care across multiple specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, surgical oncology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our growing perioperative team and support the continued expansion of surgical services at Bellevue Medical Center. We are excited to expand our team!

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska required.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.
