This is a part-time position for a CNA/Nursing Assistant in the MS3 Weekend Program. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including personal hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. The position requires accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), participation in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, and ensuring patient safety by keeping call lights within reach and responding promptly. The CNA will also be responsible for collecting specimens, performing point-of-care testing, maintaining nursing supplies, cleaning equipment, and assisting with patient positioning and nutritional needs. Specific duties may include IV removal, post-mortem care, and bladder scans under RN direction. Adherence to infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and aseptic techniques, is crucial. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
