About The Position

Visiting Angels of Sioux Falls is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout the local area. As a Visiting Angels CNA Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include helping clients with personal care and hygiene, assisting with light physical exercise or walks, planning and preparing meals, handling light housekeeping duties, reporting health changes, providing companionship, responding to emergencies, accompanying clients during shopping trips, and reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately. Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess a Valid Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
Confident in physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and supporting a client
Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
Willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
Must have reliable transportation, including during snow days
Will need to pass a background check
Must have a working email and phone at all times
Must have a professional appearance and attitude

Nice To Haves

1 plus year of caregiving experience is preferred
