About The Position

Welcome to Neuro Med/Surg! We care for patients who have Neurological and Neurosurgical needs. For Example, patients who have had a stroke, neck and back surgery or seizures. Many of our patients need assistance with daily cares due to their condition. We have a great team that works together and it is a great place to get new experiences. The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Requirements

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate safe basic care to patients

• 2nd Shift Differential: $1.75/hour
• Weekend Shift Differential: $1.75/hour
• $1,600 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.
