About The Position
The Resident Assistant provides assistance to residents in a manner that meets or exceeds community expectations. You may be required to respond to emergency calls and situations; document and report care provided; and transport residents to various functions or locations. Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population is essential for this role.
Requirements
- Must be an active Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Kansas
- A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- All state educational requirements for the position must be met.
Nice To Haves
- Must complete all state educational requirements, CPR is preferred
- A First Aid certification and Heimlich Maneuver training, may be facilitated by the company
- Experience working with an elderly population, particularly memory care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair, and maintaining resident apartments
- Document and report care provided and resident observations
- Obtain vital signs, heights, and weights.
- Respond to emergency calls and situations
- Transport residents to various functions or locations
