About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant is a member of the nursing team who contributes to the comfort and well-being of the patients by performing specifically assigned tasks and working under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, assisting in patient care functions, and indirect patient care functions including transport. The CNA is also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida or enrolled in the JMC CNA Candidate Readiness Program.
- Must successfully complete CNA Candidate Readiness Program and obtain state license designated within program timeframe.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
- Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
- TB/PPD Surveillance Program
- Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
Nice To Haves
- 2 years or more acute care experience preferred.
