Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)
  • Current Nurse Apprentice Letter from the State Board of Nursing
  • Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing (ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA accredited program)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, comfort, and personal care needs
  • Monitor and document patient information accurately and efficiently
  • Support patient flow and unit operations by performing Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) duties, including communication, coordination, and administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with nurses, providers, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Float to other departments as needed to support patient care and operational needs
