About The Position

The 4th Floor Medical Surgical unit at St. Anthony Hospital, an achieved Magnet® hospital, is a medical/surgical telemetry unit of 36 beds and is primarily a telemetry unit with medical/surgical overflow. Our typical patient population includes heart failure, pre and post-cardiac catheterization, abnormal arrhythmias, vascular surgery, TAVRs, ablations, and other cardiac patients. Our mission is to provide the highest level of quality, patient-centered, and safe care to all patients who come through our doors while also creating an atmosphere that is fun, exciting, and engaging to work in. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
  • State registered CNA license required

Nice To Haves

  • Six months previous CNA experience preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.
