About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a CNA - Med Surg for our client in Portland, OR 97216. This is a 13 weeks contract assignment. The role involves providing personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed RN, assisting with daily living activities, nutrition, hydration, elimination, positioning, and restorative care. The CNA will also be responsible for taking and documenting vital signs, observing and reporting patient status to the RN, performing routine clinical tasks, and maintaining unit organization.

Requirements

CNA certification required.
BLS certification required from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
EPIC experience REQUIRED.
Must be comfortable working 36 hours per week on night shifts.
Must be able to work 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
Previous Med/Surg or acute-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed RN.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and personal care.
Assist with nutrition and hydration, elimination, positioning, restraints, and restorative care.
Take and document vital signs, including pulse and blood pressure.
Observe and report patient status, concerns, and changes to the RN.
Provide assessment data to the RN within the CNA's scope of practice, including vital signs and patient verbal and nonverbal responses.
Assist patients with their basic care and comfort needs.
Perform routine assigned clinical tasks according to facility policies and scope of practice.
Perform clerical duties as needed, including routing patient reports appropriately.
Maintain organization of the unit and prioritize assigned tasks to help ensure smooth unit operations.
Follow patient safety standards and facility policies.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
