About The Position
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at St. Francis Nursing Center, you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, following established policies and procedures. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
- State-registered CNA license.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of previous CNA or healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and support for nutritional and elimination needs.
- Answer call lights promptly and respond to patient needs.
- Report changes in patient status and patient needs accurately and promptly to the Registered Nurse.
- Accurately document vital signs, input and output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other care performed; promptly report findings to the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain patient charts and records thoroughly and confidentially.
- Assist with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a nurse.
- Provide person-centered care with sensitivity and respect, collaborating with other team members.
- Communicate patient-related hazards or errors to the health care team.
