About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Documented certification as a nursing assistant.
  • CNA I certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be through an AHA or ARC accredited course).
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience in a hospital-based or ambulatory surgical center.
  • Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to make sound reasonable decisions.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions.
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness; is receptive to change, and exhibits creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with consumers and staff.
  • Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed.
  • Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • CNA II certification preferred.
  • Previous experience with medical records.
  • Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an inpatient unit.
  • Assist patients in the PreOp/PACU unit.
  • Work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Make sound and reasonable decisions.
  • Concentrate on detailed requests despite numerous interruptions.
