Position Summary: Per Diem, NOC Shift 8:00pm to 8:30am, mainly weekend support, mostly on Saturdays , average 2 shifts a week, with opportunities for more as the need arises. As a member of the care team the CNA provides personal care services to the terminally ill patient and performs related tasks. Duties assigned are to increase the level of comfort, and to maintain personal hygiene and a safe, healthy environment for the patient and to provide for temporary respite and relief from total care responsibilities for the primary caregiver.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Current Certification within the State.
  • Demonstrated competency in performance of hospice aide functions.
  • Ability to read, write and verbally report clinical information to patients, caregivers, and other hospice staff.
  • Ability to work with dying patients and their families.
  • Possesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient.
  • Demonstrates positive communication skills in interacting with other members of the hospice team.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Background Checks.

  • Palliative Care Hospice aide desired.
