As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will work PRN shifts, which vary. You will be under the direct supervision of licensed personnel and responsible for providing essential patient care activities. This includes feeding patients, monitoring vital signs, collecting specimens, responding to patient needs, and patient transportation. You will also be responsible for acquiring necessary equipment for procedures, explaining procedures to patients and families, cleaning equipment and meal trays, and restoring rooms after patient discharge. Additionally, you will assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and mobility as directed by therapy staff, and help maintain a clean and safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or LVN in charge. This position reports to the Director of ICU.
