This position supports patients/residents with activities of daily living, assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and height and weight measurements, and feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to specific procedures. The role also involves maintaining patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition, observing and reporting changes in patient/resident conditions, and orienting patients/families to the unit and instructing them on safety measures. Additionally, the CNA I assists with clerical work, maintains stock supply items, and performs duties within the scope of a Nurse Aide I as per the applicable state Board of Nursing Nurse Aide I Tasks List. The role may also involve performing technical tasks with appropriate training, such as administering a 12-Lead Electrocardiogram test and routine venipuncture.
