About The Position

Come join our team with Fargo Home Health! This position performs tasks as delegated and indicated on the care plan for assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Nursing Assistant (NA) will understand the basic elements of body functioning, including the physical and emotional changes that occur in the death and dying process. The NA will deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the patient per care plan, and assist patients in daily living activities such as dressing and undressing, bathing, and eating. This role requires good interpersonal skills, courtesy, and care. The individual must know medical terminology, organizational policies and procedures, and possess the ability to do detailed work correctly, function under and handle stress. The ability to work with the growth and development needs of all client and patient populations is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 75-hour nurse assistant course is required.
  • Required to be registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and registered in the applicable state's Department of Health.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
