About The Position
The CNA Home Health Aide (PER DIEM) position at Masonicare Home Health & Hospice in New Britain requires reliable transportation and flexible daytime availability. This role involves providing care in various settings such as homes, apartments, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. The caregiver will assist clients with personal care activities, medication management reminders, exercises, ambulation, transfers, and essential household services to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Additionally, the role includes providing emotional support, accompanying clients to appointments and social functions, observing and reporting changes in client abilities or needs, and documenting provided care according to agency policy.
Requirements
- CNA Certification and license
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Proof of auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible daytime availability

- Previous caregiving experience is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists with personal care activities: bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care and feeding.
- Assisting with medication management by reminding client to take medication as needed.
- Assisting the client with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities.
- Performing household services essential to a clean, safe and healthy environment, including meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping.
- Providing basic emotional and psychological support to client and other members of the household.
- Assisting and client to physician, clinic, or other appointments.
- Accompanying patient on walks and to social functions.
- Observing any changes in the clients’ abilities and/or needs for safety issues and notifying the agency as appropriate.
- Documentation of care/activities provided will be submitted as per agency policy.
