About The Position

5 Star Cares is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide exceptional care in their residential group homes. The role involves providing direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with higher-acuity needs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Requirements

Part-time work two days a week and every other weekend
Full-time work three days a week and every other weekend
Minimum 2 years of exp in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting
Current BLS/CPR and First Aid Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist individuals up to 50 pounds
Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 Background Screening

Experience supporting individuals with higher-acuity needs preferred

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility
Provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with higher-acuity needs
Monitor and report changes in condition to the nursing team
Complete accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality
Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
