About The Position

Family Life Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide professional, compassionate care to patients in their homes. Assignments may include long-term care or helping clients recover from an injury or illness. The organization works with caregivers to build schedules around their needs and serves clients ranging from children to senior citizens, including veterans.

Requirements

• Hold a current Florida CNA license or a 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a school approved through the State of Florida.
• Have current CPR certification.
• Have a driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Have a current TB test with negative results.
• Be able to pass a Level II background check.
• Have strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Be able to prepare meals, do laundry, and perform light cleaning.
• Have a compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and families.
• Be reliable and punctual, and be able to work independently while following care plans.
• Have a working smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and help ensure clients receive nutritious food tailored to their dietary needs.
• Observe clients for changes in health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain cleanliness in clients’ living environments.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, promoting safety and cognitive engagement.
