About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring CNAs, HHAs, and experienced caregivers for flexible in-home care shifts in Jacksonville and the surrounding Duval County area. This is a W-2 employee position, not a 1099 contractor role or registry position. The agency is locally owned and operated with a focus on supporting caregivers to provide better client care. Schedules vary based on client needs and can include weekday daytime, weekend, morning, afternoon, evening, and some overnight shifts. Opportunities for part-time, full-time, minimum 4-hour shifts, longer 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, and overtime are available. Care is provided one client at a time in the client's home.

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
• Successful Level II Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV/AIDS training
• Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Experience assisting seniors or adults with personal care
• Strong communication skills
• Professional and dependable attitude

Nice To Haves

• Comfort with pets preferred, since many clients have animals in the home

Responsibilities

• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Mobility and transfer support
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping related to the client
• Companionship and conversation
• Medication reminders
• Help with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
• Reporting changes, concerns, or schedule issues to the office
