About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and highly adaptable Care Support Specialist to join our team. This unique role combines hands‑on client care with essential office support responsibilities. Approximately 50% of the role is spent in the field providing direct care to clients in their homes, and the other 50% is spent in the office supporting our scheduling team and administrative operations. Training will be provided on all office systems and procedures to ensure success in both client care and administrative responsibilities. You will be trained on all priority one clients in the field. Must have drivers license, auto insurance, and comfortable traveling throughout the major metro area. Must commit to a 40 hour work week, Monday-Friday 8a-430p. Why Join BrightStar Care? Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience. Role Responsibilities Client Care Responsibilities Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to clients in their homes. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation. Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship. Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed. Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs. Collaborate with the RN Case Manager to ensure accurate and timely updates to the care plan. Office Support Responsibilities Answer incoming calls and assist with intake inquiries. Enter call‑logger notes and assist with light scheduling tasks. Upload, rename, and organize documents. Shred documents and maintain office organization. Prepare and send birthday cards and create in‑home care packets. Audit employee files and assist with administrative projects as assigned. Requirements

  • Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience providing hands‑on care in settings such as Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Homes, or Hospitals.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • Negative TB test or cleared chest X‑ray.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and provide on‑call coverage as needed.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft programs.
  • Independence in completing assigned projects.
  • Experience in customer service.
